Thank you for entering the 2024 Blackrock Health Galway Clinic Streets of Galway 8K, which will take place Saturday 10th August at 7pm.
Race-pack collection/ registration hall:
WHERE: Claddagh Hall, Nimmos Pier, Galway City. H91 A6Y6.
WHEN: Friday 9th August: 2pm -8pm and/ or Saturday 10th August: 10am – 4pm
Ensure you know and bring the following to the registration hall:
1. Proof of ID/ print-out email of registration confirmation
2. Note: No parking is available at the Claddagh Hall so please park nearby, City Centre Parking available at Cathedral Car Park, Jurys Inn or Hynes Car Park Merchants Road.
RACE DAY:
Starts at 7pm Saturday 10th August, with the start line located at the Galway Technical Institute, Fr. Griffin Road. Please be at the start line by 6.45pm to ensure you are in position. The race will not wait!
Parking: No parking available at Claddagh Hall/ Grattan Road/ Galway Technical Institute (Start or Finish areas). City Centre parking available at the Cathedral Car Park/ Jurys Inn/ Hynes Car Park Merchants Road. We encourage you to use Public Transport or cycle to start area.
Toilets: located at Start and Finish areas.
Water station: at the5km mark (Pearse Stadium) and the finish area.
No Baggage drop is available.
Changing rooms are available behind the Claddagh Hall.
Please obey marshals instructions and respect residents in the area.
Finish area: please ensure after you finish the race you clear the finish line area quickly to avoid overcrowding. The finish line is located c. 250 metres into South Park just off Grattan Road,
Prizes: will be given to the Top 3 Male & Top 3 Female finishers after they finish the race. Other Prizes (club/ age category) will be presented in the Claddagh Hall at 8.15pm.
Restrictions for safety reasons: No wheeled vehicles or buggies, no headphones and no pets.
*** UNDER-18’s: PARENTAL CONSENT is required for those entered as 16 or 17 years old. Proof of Age will be requested so parents need to bring this to the registration hall or entry will be refused. This is required for Insurance purposes.
