When is it?
The Race normally takes place on the Saturday after the August Bank Holiday weekend but for 2021 only we have a new date and time - Sunday 24th October at 10.30am
What is it?
The Streets of Galway 8K road-race is an annual event which had it's inaugral running back in 1986. Sunday 24th October 10.30am will see the 35th staging of the race which has been hosted since 1991 by local athletics club, Galway City Harriers AC.
Where is it?
The race starts and finishes in the Claddagh area of Galway city. The course winds a path on the roads and streets through the city-centre and out into the Salthill suburbs, before returning on the roads along the coast-line to Southpark in the Claddagh where the finish-line is located.
What is the entry fee?
A standard entry-fee of €25 will apply plus processing fee and includes a superb race tee shirt, number and chip timing and an opportunity to race the Streets of Irelands friendliest city.
Who is the race sponsor?
This year we are once again delighted to have the Galway Clinic as the Streets of Galway 8k race sponsor. The Galway Clinic, is a Galway institution and is a major health provider and employer for the city and county, The Clinic aims to improve the health and quality of life of the individuals and communities its serves, and to promote health and wellbeing across society .

Registration is now closed. There are no registrations on Race Day.
