Great to see all the runners out racing on the Prom today (October 2) in Run Galway Bay. Well done to everyone who took part.
There were three separate start times. The races took runners on laps including South Park, the prom and around by the golf course.
10K
10k winner was Jake O’Regan St John’s AC 29:32. First woman Edel Gaffney Trim AC 36:46.

Half Marathon
Half marathon: winner Greg Lundon South Galway AC 1:18.44 with GCH second and third – Diarmuid Hennesy 1:13:12 and Ray O’Connor 1:19:29. First woman was GCH’s Gráinne Ní Uallachain 1:24.07 with Sinead Foran third 1:26:56.

Marathon winner: Andrew O’Neill 2:36.20; first woman Dolores Duffy Watergrasshill AC W50 3:21.47. Great running from GCH’s David McGurrin 2:57:39 and Shane Slattery 3:02:16.
