The Ballinderreen 10k this Sunday 18th November at 12.30pm, organised by South Galway Athletic Club, will incorporate the Galway County 10k Road Race Championships.
Two upcoming National Cross Country events – entry information:
1) Sunday 25th November: National Senior and Junior Cross Country Championships (Abbottstown). Entry to club secretary by Wednesday night 14th November.
2) Saturday 15th December: National Novice Cross Country Championships (Navan Racecourse). Entry to club secretary by Wednesday night 5th December.
The 2019 Dublin City Marathon will incorporate the National Marathon Championships. Marathon entries are selling fast. Link to entry on attached fixture list.

The sun shone brightly last Saturday evening in Galway with over 3000 athletes taking part in the 32nd Galway Clinic Streets of Galway which was sold out once again.
What is now a major event in the Summer Calendar in Galway grows each year and offers athletes and fun runners a unique chance through run through the heart of Galway City.
Included in the sold out race was local runners, elite athletes and over 1000 visitors from Dublin, Cork and Limerick,
This year the male race was won by Kevin Maunsell from Clonmel in a time of 23.44 followed in 2nd place by Freddie Keron Sittuk from Raheny Shamrock and in 3rd by Hugh Armstrong from Ballina AC.
Siobhan O Doherty from Borrisokane AC claimed the Ladies prize in a time of 27:44 followed by Caroline Crowley in 2nd and Nicola Duncan from GCH in 3rd place.
Many of the top employers in the city had teams such as Boston, Medtronic, Avaya, Alere and the Galway Clinic. There was a carnival atmosphere at the start with Joanne Murphy MC the event and Galway Bay FM broadcasting live at the start line.
The fine weather ensured the route was lined with tourists and family & friends of the runners shouting encouragement at every corner.
The 8km route showcases all the iconic attractions of the city including the Claddagh, Long Walk, Eyre Square, Galway Cathederal and the glorious Salt hill promenade.
The race attracts many runners each year and features 3 gents who have ran each year since its conception, Congrats to Patrick Larkin, Ger Murphy and Ger Meehan.
Thanks must be given to Garda, Civil Defence and the 300 marshals who ensured the safety of the runners.
